Smart future technology – virtual touch of real objects

Let’s think about a smart future technology. Lets think about a future where you are shopping just by sitting in your home. You are checking cloths, their fabrics texture just sitting in your home. You are checking them just by using a smart future technology, just only by your mobile phone.
Every year IBM make a prediction about 5 future technologies what will change our life style only in five years. This is called 5*5 article. This year
one of the predictions is about a smart future technology , what will make us able to touch our environment just with our phone.
IBM researchers think that within 5 years we will be able to real world objects  through a smart future technology what could be ones phone or any other device. This means one if it become possible it will bring a revolutionary change in our life. Just think about shopping and think how this smart future technology could be beneficial. One will be able to distinguish among cloths ,their texture , fabrics only by touching his phone and just sitting in home. The working principle of this smart future technology will be slightly different. Being able to touch real world object virtually  doesn’t mean touching the object. This smart future technology  will just give felling of that object artificially by vibration. The individual vibration pattern for every object will be saved in a Product Information Management (PIM) system which will act as dictionary. The vibration will be generated for an object on the basis of digital image processing and digital image correlation .For example when you are about to buy a cloth made by silk, the shopper will just take  images. And based of that images and according to the database for that image your screen will emit vibration. Our brain will translate this vibration into fillings of that object. We will feel we are touching silk. With the help of this smart future technology one will also be able to distinguish between the quality ,cost  size etc. of a particular object when the dictionary will grow larger with our appetite, usage and understanding of this kind of smart technology. Than different kind of vibration for different quality of an object will be saved in that smart future technology.

This smart future technology will also be used in different sectors except shopping. For example a farmer will be able to use this smart future technology to determine the condition of his crops. A doctor will be able to use this smart future technology to determine the condition of his patient from far away, without touching the patient in real. Patient will  send image of his wounds and using digital image processing and digital image correlation of this smart future technology the doctor will be able to feel the patients condition. This smart future technology could evolve beyond using the database to real time  touch translation gained from accumulated user interaction with the technology. Perhaps five years is a very short time for this smart future technology, but surely one day we will be able to use this technology.
